NHL Updates
The Avalanche placed captain Gabriel Landeskog on injured reserve with a lower-body injury, sidelining him for the remainder of the season. The team stated he is week-to-week but unlikely to return this year. Meanwhile, the Los Angeles Kings honored Patrik Panarin with a special tribute after he changed his jersey number from 10 to, previously worn by the team's mascot. The tribute was a nod to Panarin's brief time wearing the number during his time with the franchise.
