NBA Update
Victor Wembanyama sat out Thursday’s 136-131 Spurs loss to the Nuggets due to right ankle soreness, allowing Nikola Jokic to dominate. The absence of the 19-year-old star shifted dynamics as Denver’s defense smothered San Antonio’s bench, narrowing the gap in the Western Conference playoff race. Wembanyama’s injury delayed his return timeline, raising questions about San Antonio’s postseason readiness.
