Private Equity Portfolio Moves & New Launches

The Nevada pension fund is reportedly exiting its position with Clearlake Capital Group due to perceived conflicts of interest arising from the firm’s proposed acquisition of Pathway Capital Management, an agreement that concerns the $74.9 billion US public employee retirement system's broader portfolio management. In deal-making activity, TPG announced the formal launch of Velotic, an industrial software platform, appointing former PTC CEO James Heppelmann as executive chairman to guide its growth strategy. Concurrently, Fort Point Capital continued its focus on infrastructure, as its portfolio company, Visu Sewer, acquired United Survey, a Wisconsin-based provider of critical wastewater inspection and cleaning services, expanding its operational footprint in essential municipal services.
