Google DeepMind unveiled **Gemma 4**, its most advanced open AI model family yet, designed for developers seeking cutting-edge reasoning capabilities. Built on Gemini 3's research, Gemma 4 offers state-of-the-art performance across four sizes: Effective 2B (E2B), Effective 4B (E4B), 26B Mixture of Experts (MoE), and 31B Dense. These models excel at complex tasks like multi-step logic, code generation, and multimodal processing, with the 31B model ranking #3 on Arena.ai's open model leaderboard.

Developers can now run these models locally on consumer hardware, from laptops to edge devices, thanks to optimized quantization and MoE efficiency.
