NFL Week 4 Recap

The Colts beat the Commanders in London as Daniel Jones struggled with turnovers, while Indianapolis secured a second straight win despite his three fumbles over the past two weeks. Meanwhile, the Patriots snapped a losing streak with Drake Maye leading a comeback victory over the Bills, which coach Vrabel said got New England "back in the race." In another London development, Commanders owner Josh Harris covered drinks for roughly 3,000 fans at a bar rally, spending an estimated $50,000 on the outing.

Injuries Mount Across League

Several key players exited games with significant injuries. Lamar Jackson left the Ravens' win over the Titans in a boot after hurting his ankle, while Saquon Barkley departed the Eagles' loss to the Rams with a hamstring issue. Tee Higgins and Ja'Marr Chase both suffered injuries in the Bengals' loss to Jacksonville, with Higgins later confirmed to have a concussion. Rashee Rice sustained a right hamstring injury that leaves him doubtful for Kansas City's next game, and Pat Surtain II exited early in Denver's loss to San Francisco with a lower right leg injury.

Additional Roster Moves and Updates

The Jets ended a 21-game interception drought against the Bears, snapping one of the NFL's most ignominious streaks. Edgerrin Cooper suffered an Achilles injury that ruled him out for Green Bay's game against Tampa Bay, while DJ Moore is doubtful to return for the Bills' second half versus the Patriots due to a shoulder injury. Marcus Mariota was ruled out for the Commanders with a knee injury, forcing them to turn to a seventh-round rookie at QB, and Baker Mayfield is expected to miss three to six weeks with a dislocated thumb. The Panthers placed rookie Xavier Legette on injured reserve ahead of their matchup with Detroit, and Derrick Harmon is expected to miss multiple weeks for Pittsburgh with a foot injury. Finally, Lane Johnson is inactive for the Eagles due to personal reasons, and Terry McLaurin will not play for Washington against Indianapolis.
