Crystal Dynamics unveiled two new Tomb Raider titles at the December 2025 Game Awards: Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis, a reimagining of the original adventure, and Tomb Raider: Catalyst. Legacy of Atlantis was initially targeting 2026, while Catalyst aimed for 2027.

Amazon Games General Manager Jeffrey Gattis confirmed in an interview with The Game Business that Legacy of Atlantis has been delayed to February 12, 2027, and Catalyst has been pushed to 2028. Both games will launch on Amazon Luna as part of Amazon's strategy to build exclusive content for its cloud gaming service.

Gattis emphasized that high-profile titles like Tomb Raider and the successful 007: First Light are crucial for expanding Luna's subscriber base. Amazon recently bundled Luna with Prime Video for Fire TV devices, while competitor Xbox introduced a free ad-supported tier for Xbox Cloud Gaming to grow its audience.

The executive noted that building a distinct identity for Luna takes time, requiring original content that resonates with players. No specific month in 2028 was given for Catalyst's release.
