Logitech has released a Developer Edition of its MX Master 4 mouse that was launched back in September 2025. The company says that this is a tribute to the "developers who are shaping the digital world". However, the hardware is identical to the standard MX Master 4. The same 8,000 DPI sensor and MagSpeed scroll wheel capable of 1,000 lines per second. We can mention built-in haptic feedback and the Action Ring button for shortcuts. Then, it also has the same 650 mAh battery with up to 70 days of use, USB-C quick charging, and multi-device pairing. Basically, nothing has changed under the hood or in terms of functionality.

The differences are purely visual, as the new edition uses a two-tone dark and light gray scheme with bright green accents. There are laser-etched syntax annotations including // and </> markup tags, circuit traces, and a {Hello, World} execution prompt. Logitech has also added a few Easter eggs, 0xFF + 1 referencing World Programmers' Day, 09.17 for the Linux Kernel release date, and !04.01 for World Backup Day. The good news is that MX Master 4 Developer Edition costs the same as the standard model. The mouse is currently listed on the Logitech website for $120 / €130, together with the two-year warranty.[](https://www.techpowerup.com/img/pTA3WykiylahpOJ5.jpg) [](https://www.techpowerup.com/img/FJALXkTCYRVLd1bD.jpg) [](https://www.techpowerup.com/img/EYAHU7hlafue5MFQ.jpg) [](https://www.techpowerup.com/img/O2h0tRiU3VRsSWbO.jpg) [](https://www.techpowerup.com/img/0b4sBKelL3Mh5H2w.jpg)
