NVIDIA has overtaken Apple to become TSMC's largest customer by revenue, according to Taiwanese reports. While TSMC typically refers to clients as 'Client A' and 'Client B' in financial disclosures, NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang revealed his company now holds the top spot. This confirms NVIDIA as the mysterious 'Client A' in TSMC's financial reports.

In 2025, NVIDIA contributed NT$726.9 billion (US$23.2 billion) to TSMC's revenue, more than double its 2024 contribution. The dramatic increase isn't solely due to higher chip volumes, as advanced manufacturing nodes command premium pricing. NVIDIA's share of TSMC's total revenue jumped to 19 percent from 12 percent year-over-year, while Apple's share fell to 17 percent from 22 percent.

Apple, now 'Client B,' still generated substantial revenue at NT$645.1 billion (US$20.5 billion) for TSMC in 2025. The shift reflects NVIDIA's explosive growth in AI chip demand versus Apple's more modest hardware refresh cycles. This customer role reversal signals a fundamental change in semiconductor economics, with AI accelerators driving foundry revenue more than traditional consumer devices.
