NVIDIA Hits 94% GPU Market Share as AMD Drops to 5%

NVIDIA has surged to 94% market share in the AIB GPU sector for Q4 2025, according to Jon Peddie Research, marking a 1.6% increase from the previous quarter. This all-time high comes as AMD's share fell to 5%, a 1.6% decline that directly benefited NVIDIA's partners and their shipments. The overall AIB GPU market sold 11.5 million units in the final quarter of 2025.

Despite the strong year-over-year growth of 36% compared to 8.45 million units in Q4 2024, the market experienced a slight contraction of half a million units from Q3. Jon Peddie Research attributes this decline to rising memory prices and tariffs affecting the global supply chain, which have increased costs for discrete GPU solutions using expensive GDDR7 and GDDR6 memory.

Intel maintains a steady 1% market share, consistent with its Q3 2025 performance when it first achieved single-digit percentages since launching Arc "Alchemist" GPUs. The company needs more diverse GPU designs, like the anticipated "Battlemage" B770 graphics card, to break out of the single-digit bracket. AMD faces challenges with limited technology support across generations and no high-end competition this generation, while Intel struggles in the mid-range segment.
