MSI is rolling out full support for AMD's upcoming Ryzen 7 9850X3D processor across its AM5 motherboard lineup. The new chip, built on the Zen 5 architecture, packs 8 cores, 16 threads, and a massive 104 MB cache. It targets demanding gaming and creative workloads with boost clocks hitting 5.60 GHz and a 120 W TDP.

Announced at CES 2026, the company also unveiled its new flagship MEG X870E UNIFY-X MAX motherboard. This board is purpose-built for extreme overclocking, featuring a specialized 2-DIMM layout and a powerful 18+2+1 power phase design. Advanced cooling includes a Direct Touch Cross Heat-pipe, while integrated Wi-Fi 7 and 5G LAN ensure low-latency connectivity for data-heavy applications.

To unlock the processor's potential, MSI's CLICK BIOS X offers tools like Latency Killer and High-Efficiency Mode to trim memory latency. For enthusiasts, a dedicated OC Engine and new BCLK Booster allow real-time frequency tuning with a single press. A larger 64 MB BIOS ensures future-proof compatibility for upcoming AMD CPUs. MSI will release the necessary AGESA PI BIOS update soon.
