Minisforum has launched its AtomMan G7 Pro compact PC, featuring a GeForce RTX 5070 Laptop 8 GB dGPU and an Intel Core i9-14900HX processor. The barebones model starts at $1359.90, with a $320 upgrade adding 32 GB of RAM and a 1 TB SSD. Shipments from the US store are expected to begin on January 23.

This system uses the older Raptor Lake-HX Refresh platform, a step back from the Panther Lake designs Minisforum showcased at CES. The choice highlights a common industry trend: using proven mobile components to achieve an ultraslim profile. A 200W total power budget (85W CPU, 115W GPU) aims for flagship gaming performance without the bulk of a desktop tower.

A physical switch on the chassis lets users toggle between gaming and office modes, adjusting the power profile. This follows a similar compact PC engineering feat from Zotac, which recently crammed a desktop RTX 5060 Ti 16 GB card into its ZBOX MAGNUS. The G7 Pro shows how vendors are pushing mobile hardware into smaller form factors.
