Intel Reveals 12‑Core Xe3P iGPUs for Nova Lake

Intel added new Nova Lake‑S iGPU IDs to the Linux kernel, hinting that up to seven Core Ultra 400 desktop SKUs may launch.

Leaker @jaykihn0 says at least one Nova Lake‑S desktop will feature a 12-core Xe3P iGPU. The same 12‑core setup is expected in several Nova Lake‑H mobile parts, mirroring Core Ultra 400 X7 358H and X9 388H, while lower‑end parts drop to 4 or 2 Xe3 cores.

Earlier rumors argue Xe3P will outpace the current Arc B390 and AMD Radeon 890M. If the 12‑core claim holds, the iGPU could replace entry‑level dGPUs, offering better performance than current high‑end integrated options.

For consumers, the shift means a cheaper, power‑efficient graphics solution that may remove the need for discrete GPUs in mainstream laptops and desktops. The industry will watch whether Intel can keep performance gains while maintaining low power draw.
