According to the TechPowerUp report, while OLED panels offer superior image quality, they often appear overly dark in peak brightness modes due to Average Picture Level (APL) limitations. GIGABYTE's HyperNits uses a unique algorithm to intelligently reshape the EOTF curve, boosting brightness by up to 30% while preserving critical highlight details.

Users can select between 'High' for maximum brightness or 'Medium' for a 20% lift. This innovation matters because it directly addresses a major hesitation for competitive gamers and content creators considering OLED technology. By mitigating the dimness often associated with HDR on these panels, GIGABYTE is removing a significant barrier to adoption, potentially solidifying its leadership in the high-end gaming display market.
