Dell has expanded its mainstream laptop lineup with the new 14S and 16S mid-range notebooks positioned below the premium XPS series. These productivity-focused machines feature Intel's latest Core Ultra Series 3 processors and Copilot+ AI functionality. The aluminum chassis designs offer a balance between performance and portability in the competitive mid-range market.

The 14S model features a 14-inch FHD+ OLED touchscreen in configurations up to Core Ultra 9 386H with 32GB LPDDR5X memory. The higher-end X7 configuration swaps to Intel Arc graphics and costs $2,169. The larger 16S expands to a 16-inch chassis with optional 2.8K OLED touch displays. Both models measure 15.4mm thick and weigh between 1.49-1.86kg depending on configuration.

Connectivity options include dual Thunderbolt 4 ports, HDMI 2.1, Wi-Fi 7, and a 70Wh battery. Both laptops feature 2MP RGB-IR cameras, dual-array microphones, and stereo speakers with Cirrus Logic SmartAmps. Base configurations start at $1,319 with Core Ultra 5 processors, 16GB RAM, and 512GB SSD, targeting professionals seeking productivity without premium XPS pricing.
