Cisco unveiled the Silicon One G300, a 102.4 Tbps switching ASIC designed to power massive AI cluster deployments in data centers. The new silicon will drive Cisco's N9000 and 8000 systems, featuring innovative liquid cooling and high-density optics to maximize GPU efficiency and reduce energy consumption. This launch positions Cisco to compete in the rapidly growing AI networking market.

Built for the demands of AI workloads, the G300 offers Intelligent Collective Networking with a shared packet buffer, path-based load balancing, and proactive telemetry. Cisco claims this delivers 33% increased network utilization and 28% faster job completion times compared to non-optimized systems. The highly programmable silicon allows for future upgrades and supports multiple network roles, protecting infrastructure investments.

Cisco is also introducing next-generation N9000 and 8000 systems with liquid-cooled designs achieving nearly 70% energy efficiency improvements. New 1.6T OSFP optics and 800G Linear Pluggable Optics (LPO) reduce power consumption by up to 50% compared to traditional modules. The expanded Nexus One platform adds AI observability and Splunk integration for enhanced network management across on-premises and cloud deployments.
