Now the studio requires proper documentation before anything passes a development gate. Institutional knowledge is shared across all teams and projects, cutting duplicate work and letting the whole company benefit from breakthroughs on individual titles. Neither Cyberpunk 2 nor The Witcher 4 have confirmed release dates, but Cyberpunk 2 is expected around 2030, while The Witcher 4 has moved past pre-production.

The shift toward disciplined documentation at CD Projekt Red represents a fundamental change in how the studio manages its pipeline. After the reputational damage of launching Cyberpunk 2077 in a rough state, prioritizing shared knowledge over siloed team habits should help prevent the kind of coordination failures that plagued the earlier release.
