Biostar has launched the BITWL-IHT, a new Thin Mini-ITX industrial motherboard designed for edge computing deployments. Built around Intel's Alder Lake-N, Amston Lake, and Twin Lake processor families, the compact 170 mm x 170 mm board targets applications ranging from AIoT and industrial automation to digital signage and kiosks.

The motherboard supports processors including the Intel N150, Atom x7213E, and Core i3-N305, paired with DDR5-4800 SO-DIMM memory up to 16 GB. This combination delivers responsive multitasking and efficient power consumption for continuous industrial operation. Its slim form factor enables integration into space-constrained systems like panel PCs and embedded control units.

Industrial-grade connectivity defines the BITWL-IHT with six configurable COM ports supporting RS232/422/485 interfaces for legacy equipment communication. The board includes dual Gigabit LAN ports, TPM 2.0 security, and three M.2 slots for NVMe storage, 4G/5G modules, and wireless connectivity. Operating from 0°C to 60°C with wide-range DC power input, the motherboard runs Windows IoT Enterprise and Ubuntu 22.04, providing a stable foundation for intelligent edge infrastructure.
