ASUS Republic of Gamers has released the 2026 ROG Strix SCAR 18, targeting gamers and creators who demand desktop-level performance. The laptop combines an Intel Core Ultra 9 290HX Plus processor with up to an NVIDIA RTX 5090 Laptop GPU, delivering a substantial 320W of sustained system power for intensive gaming, creative work, and AI development tasks.

The centerpiece is an 18-inch ROG Nebula HDR Display featuring the world's first 4K 240Hz mini-LED laptop panel, with over 2,000 dimming zones and 1,600 nits peak brightness. A new Extreme Low Motion Blur technology uses eight-zone strobing to improve motion clarity in fast-paced games. Cooling includes a 20% thicker vapor chamber, redesigned fans pushing 91% more airflow, and dedicated SSD cooling to maintain performance under load.

Designed for enthusiasts, the Strix SCAR 18 offers tool-less access to RAM and storage slots plus Q-Latch drive bays for easy upgrades. Connectivity spans dual Thunderbolt 5 ports, 2.5G LAN, HDMI 2.1, and Wi-Fi 7. Signature Aura RGB lighting provides customization options through Armoury Crate software.

Pre-orders begin June 24, 2026 through ASUS's online store and authorized retailers. Pricing details haven't been announced, but expect premium positioning given the flagship components and extensive feature set targeting power users who refuse to compromise on performance.
