ASUS has rolled out new macOS compatibility for its ProArt displays, targeting creative professionals using MacBook, Mac Mini, and Mac Studio. The update centers on the DisplayWidget Center software, which now allows direct brightness control via MacBook shortcut keys and introduces a M Model P3 color setting to sync hues between the monitor and Apple's laptop screens.

These professional displays boast up to Delta E<1 color accuracy and a 99% DCI-P3 gamut, aiming to match the color fidelity required for photo and video work. With up to 240Hz refresh rates and USB-C/Thunderbolt 4 connectivity, they also handle high-resolution graphics and can charge a MacBook via a single cable, functioning as a hub.

The move addresses a common pain point for creatives: ensuring consistent color across devices. By integrating directly with macOS and offering hardware calibration, ASUS simplifies workflows for color-critical tasks. The partnership also includes a three-month Adobe Creative Cloud subscription with select purchases, adding immediate value for new users.
