AMD and Celestica announced a collaboration to develop the Helios rack-scale AI platform, combining AMD’s Instinct MI450 Series GPUs with Celestica’s Open Rack-Wide (ORW) networking switches. The platform integrates Open Compute Project (OCP) standards and UALoE architecture for high-speed interconnects, enabling scalable AI clusters. Designed for cloud, enterprise, and research environments, Helios aims to reduce deployment time and enhance supply chain resilience. Forrest Norrod of AMD emphasized its role as “a new blueprint for AI infrastructure,” while Steven Dorwart of Celestica highlighted the synergy between their engineering expertise and AMD’s AI leadership.
