On Wednesday, Ace Magic unveiled the Kron Mini K5, a tiny PC built around Intel’s Core 5 320 “Wildcat Lake” mobile processor. The chip sports a 2P+4LPE core mix and tops out at 4.60 GHz on the P‑core, backed by 6 MB of L3 cache. The board caps power at 15 W base and 35 W turbo.

Memory lives at 16 GB of LPDDR5‑6400, while storage comes pre‑filled with a 512 GB M.2 Gen 3 x4 NVMe SSD. Connectivity blends Wi‑Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, and a 2.5 GbE wired LAN, giving the device a full‑featured networking lineup for both home and office use. The system also supports dual‑band Wi‑Fi, enabling faster throughput for streaming and gaming scenarios.

Display options cover HDMI 2.0, DisplayPort 1.4, and a USB‑C port that doubles as a DisplayPort passthrough. USB ports number four 5 Gbps Gen 1, two 10 Gbps Gen 2, and one 20 Gbps Gen 2×2, which also delivers 100 W of power input. A separate 2‑pin DC jack offers alternate charging. This arrangement allows users to connect high‑resolution monitors or dock stations without extra adapters.

With its small footprint and balanced power envelope, the Kron Mini K5 targets compact workstations, media centers, and gaming rigs that demand a single‑cable USB‑C solution. The inclusion of a 100 W USB‑C power interface and robust networking makes it a practical contender against larger mini‑PC offerings in the market today.
