AMD and Intel Chip Updates

AMD has expanded its processor offerings by introducing 11 new "Hawk Point" APUs across its Ryzen 200 and 100 series. The Ryzen 200 series gains seven new models, while the Ryzen 100 series adds four. Meanwhile, an editorial handles onboard audio codecs better than AMD, attributing the difference to the "plumbing" or implementation of audio processing.

New PC Hardware and Market Trends

MSI has unveiled new PC components, including the MEG MAESTRO 900R full tower case and the MEG CORELIQUID E15 360 AIO liquid cooler, both designed with premium aluminum construction. In a separate announcement, Micron Technology plans to accelerate its U.S. investments, pouring the first concrete at a new fabrication facility in New York and increasing its projected spend to over $250 billion through 2035. The PC market, however, experienced a 3.6% year-over-year decline in 2Q26, with global shipments of desktops, notebooks, and workstations falling to 65.7 million units amid supply pressures.

Laptop and Gaming Gear

The XMG APEX 17 laptop is now available with the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070, featuring 12 GB of VRAM, an upgrade from the previous 8 GB. This configuration was first announced at Computex 2026.
