Google Finance lands on Android, iOS coming 2026

Google rolled out the first dedicated Google Finance app this week, landing exclusively on Android devices via the Play Store. After two decades of a web‑only service that once depended on Flash, the company finally offers a native mobile experience and supports both smartphones and tablets. An iOS version is slated for later in 2026, extending the rollout beyond the current global availability.

Inside the app, users can build watchlists, stream real‑time quotes, and read curated financial news. A new generative AI engine highlights “key moments” on stock charts, explaining sudden moves—a feature that debuted on the website in May. The floating Ask button opens a conversational bot tuned to market queries, with a History tab that archives past interactions and can suggest portfolio adjustments.

By embedding AI directly into its finance platform, Google aims to keep casual investors inside its ecosystem rather than driving them to competing apps. The Android release signals that the company sees mobile as the next growth frontier for its data services. When the iOS client arrives, the full suite will give Android and Apple users identical, AI‑enhanced market tools for both beginners and traders.
