American League East Showdowns
Guardians rookie Parker Messick saw his attempt at the first no-hitter of the 2026 season shattered in the ninth inning Thursday night, though the Cleveland club managed to secure a 4-2 victory over the Baltimore Orioles. The rookie hurler had kept the Orioles hitless through eight frames, prompting widespread live viewing interest, before the spell finally broke late in the contest, preserving the win for the pitching staff despite losing the bid.
