Promoter Dispute & Club Fallout
Eddie Hearn slammed Dana White after the UFC chief claimed he would serve as the lead promoter for a Joshua‑Fury showdown, labeling the assertion “clueless” and insisting Matchroom Sport had no role in negotiations. In a separate controversy, Phil Mickelson was expelled from a San Diego private club following allegations he made unwanted physical contact with a female employee, a move that could affect his standing in elite golf circles.
Free‑Agency Outlook
Analysts released a tiered list of summer free‑agency targets, separating All‑Stars and award winners from “diamonds in the rough” and noting that marquee contracts could exceed $50 million, while mid‑level deals hover around $10‑$15 million, shaping roster strategies across the NBA, NFL and MLB.
UFC Entertainment Rankings
Media outlets ranked the White House lawn bouts by projected fan appeal, highlighting a potential heavyweight clash as the top‑draw and placing a lightweight showcase as the secondary attraction, a hierarchy that may influence the UFC’s scheduling decisions for the upcoming pay‑per‑view season.
