Warrington Wolves climbed to the top of the Super League table with an 18-6 comeback victory over St Helens, orchestrated by 18-year-old half-back Ewan Irwin. The teenager converted all three tries and scored the decisive second-half try that secured a ninth consecutive win against their rivals at the BrewDog Stadium.

St Helens led 6-0 through Tristan Sailor's individual effort, where he kicked through and regathered his own kick to touch down. However, Warrington equalized before halftime as Josh Smith broke clear from an Irwin pass to send Albert Hopoate over in the corner. The visitors carried momentum into the second half despite losing Zack Gardner to a shoulder injury.

Irwin's influence grew after the break, with Ben Currie denied by the video referee before a fortunate bounce allowed Smith to race 80 metres for a try. Warrington's disciplined defense then held firm as Josh Thewlis produced another try-saving tackle. Irwin capped the performance by spotting a gap to dart through and score, moving Warrington top of Super League.

The victory marked a significant turnaround for the Wolves, who trailed at halftime but weathered the storm to maintain their impressive run against St Helens. Warrington now leads the league table with this hard-fought away win.
