Oleksandr Usyk, the unified heavyweight champion, views Tyson Fury as the opponent for his final career fight. Having already defeated Fury twice in 2024 to claim the undisputed title, Usyk considers their potential third bout his "last dance." The Ukrainian champion expressed this desire to Associated Press, setting up what could be a trilogy-ending showdown.

Usyk's immediate plans include defending his WBC title against kickboxer Rico Verhoeven in Egypt this May. Following that, he targets the winner of Fabio Wardley's clash with Daniel Dubois before concluding his career against Fury. Promoter Frank Warren confirmed his fighters are interested in facing Usyk, calling it "very encouraging."

Away from the ring, Usyk remains firm on his stance against Russian athletes competing internationally following Ukraine's invasion. The Olympic gold medalist believes those supporting killing shouldn't participate in peaceful competition, stating: "That simply doesn't add up." His position reflects his commitment to both boxing excellence and principles.
