Toulouse Olympique delivered a statement performance by demolishing Catalans Dragons 60-18 in the inaugural French-Magic WKND fixture at Castres' Stade Pierre-Fabre. The home side ran in 10 tries to claim their biggest win of the season and fifth victory in the Super League campaign, moving six points clear of Huddersfield Giants at the bottom of the table.

Luke Polselli opened the scoring in the sixth minute, but Catalans led 12-8 midway through the first half before Toulouse exploded with four tries in an 11-minute burst to establish a commanding 20-point advantage at the break. Mathieu Jussaume, Brendan Hands, Olly Ashall-Bott and Paul Ulberg all crossed twice as the French side dominated proceedings.

Catalans managed three tries through Kruise Leeming, Matthieu Laguerre and Toby Sexton, but Sexton's conversion three minutes into the second half proved only temporary respite before Toulouse pulled away again. The result leaves Catalans eighth and six points adrift of the play-off positions with work to do.

This all-French derby marked the only Magic Weekend match not played at Everton's Hill Dickinson Stadium, with three fixtures scheduled for Saturday and another three to follow on Sunday as the Super League's newest initiative got underway.
