Tottenham have confirmed the signing of Andy Robertson on a free transfer. The Scotland captain will join Spurs on July 1 after his Liverpool contract expires. Robertson, 32, received a farewell from Anfield supporters following the 1-1 draw with Brentford on the final day of the Premier League season. The left-back was instrumental during Liverpool's title-winning campaigns and Champions League victories.

Spurs avoided relegation by just two points last season, prompting manager Roberto De Zerbi to strengthen the squad immediately. Robertson's arrival signals a clear intention to avoid a similar relegation struggle next season. The move comes after Liverpool confirmed Robertson's departure following eight years at Anfield, where he became a fan favorite with his consistent performances.

Tottenham are also in advanced talks to sign Brighton defender Jan Paul van Hecke, with reports suggesting an opening bid has been rejected. The Dutch international worked under De Zerbi at Brighton. Spurs remain interested in Manchester City winger Savinho after failing to secure his signing last season. Robertson joined Liverpool from Hull in 2017 for an undisclosed fee, leaving as one of the club's most decorated full-backs.
