Thomas Partey has been charged with two additional counts of rape relating to an alleged victim from 2020. The former Arsenal midfielder, now playing for Villarreal, is scheduled to appear at Westminster Magistrates' Court on March 13.

These new charges come as Partey already faces five counts of rape against two other women and a sexual assault charge against another woman. The previous allegations, which he denies, relate to incidents between 2021 and 2022 during his time at Arsenal. He previously appeared at Southwark Crown Court in September and is set for trial on November 2.

The 32-year-old Ghanaian international joined Arsenal from Atletico Madrid in 2020 for around £45 million before leaving the club in June 2025. Partey has made over 50 appearances for Ghana, including at the World Cup and Africa Cup of Nations.
