Cam Young and Justin Thomas remain in contention as 73 players survived the cut at two-over or better. However, former champions Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy face an uphill battle, sitting 13 strokes off the pace after their respective rounds of 73 and 71 left them far from contention.
