The race to feature for Team Europe in the Solheim Cup reaches a climax this week at the AIG Women’s Open, leaving one last chance for players to force their way into Anna Nordqvist’s selection plans.

The qualification campaign ends after the final women's major of the year, with the top two players in the European Solheim Cup points list and the next six available via the Rolex Women’s World Golf Rankings securing their automatic spots. Double points are on offer for the majors, while world rankings are boosted compared to a regular event.

Current automatic qualifiers include Charley Hull who tops the points list, Chiara Tamburlini holding the second spot, Lottie Woad (world No 5) secured via the fazla world rankings, Maja Stark, Celine Boutier, Esther Henseleit, Carlota Ciganda and Linn Grant all in through the rankings.

Those still fighting are near the top of the points list: Tamburlini sits at 133.1 points, 1.1 ahead of Helen Briem; Agathe Laisne, Cara Gainer top five. Only top‑20 finishers earn points; Briem needs a top‑20, Laisne 12th or better, Gainer ninth or better. The winner receives 100 points, runner‑up 75.
