Sergio Garcia is desperate to be involved in next year's Ryder Cup, either as a player or vice-captain, with his time on LIV Golf appearing to be coming to an end. The Saudi-backed breakaway league filed for bankruptcy last month, with its restructuring plan likely to release players from their existing contracts ahead of a potential LIV 2.0 relaunch.

This week, Garcia successfully secured a court ruling to lift an automatic stay on his contract, allowing him to seriously consider his options for 2027. Europe's all-time leading Ryder Cup points scorer now has his sights firmly set on Adare Manor next September.

"I think everything is an option," he told a press conference at the Open de Espana in Madrid. Garcia, who has spoken to European captain Luke Donald, added: "I told him that I'm going to do everything possible to see if I can get into that team and I also told him that if I don't get into that team, I'll help in any way I can."

Garcia has also not ruled out a return to the PGA Tour, although under its rules he would have to serve a suspension until August. "It's definitely a possibility. I turn 47 in January, and the Champions Tour is a possibility," he said.
