Sebastian Fundora delivered a dominant performance to retain his WBC super-welterweight title by stopping Keith Thurman in Las Vegas. The referee halted the bout at just under six rounds as Thurman, sporting a bloodied face, couldn't withstand Fundora's relentless attack. The 28-year-old southpaw's height and reach advantage proved decisive against the former unified welterweight champion.

Fundora, standing over 6ft 5in, used his physical attributes to keep Thurman at bay throughout the contest. The 37-year-old Thurman, whose only previous loss came against Manny Pacquiao in 2019, had been inactive in recent years with just two fights since that defeat. Fundora's potent left hand buckled Thurman's legs early, setting the tone for a one-sided affair.

After improving his record to 24-1-1, Fundora admitted the fight was "a lot easier than I expected" and praised Thurman as a Hall of Famer. The Florida native expressed frustration with the early stoppage, claiming he had "more in me" and that the referee should have let the action continue. Fundora now eyes further challenges in what he calls "the best division right now" at 154 pounds.
