Manchester City moved within touching distance of their first Women's Super League title in a decade after Vivianne Miedema's double and Kerstin Casparij's goal sealed a 3-0 derby win at Old Trafford. The Dutch forward struck twice in two minutes (17th, 19th), putting Manchester City in control before Casparij finished off a Lauren Hemp cross early in the second half.

Andree Jeglertz's side now need just five points from their final three matches to secure the championship, having dominated their Manchester United rivals who are now mathematically eliminated from contention. Arsenal and Chelsea remain the only teams capable of catching City, but the leaders face bottom-half opposition in their remaining fixtures against Brighton, Liverpool, and West Ham.

United's defeat marks their second three-goal loss at Old Trafford in a week, following a 3-2 Champions League defeat to Bayern Munich. The Red Devils, currently second in the table, face pressure to maintain their top-three position with only a three-point cushion over fourth-placed Arsenal, who play Tottenham later Saturday.
