Lincoln secured their first second-tier victory in 65 years thanks to Ben House's 66th-minute header, giving them a 1-0 win over previously-unbeaten Bolton at the Toughsheet Community Stadium.

The Imps had lost their opening two Championship fixtures against Middlesbrough and Portsmouth but found their breakthrough after Bolton failed to unlock Lincoln's defense. Keeper George Wickens was instrumental, repelling numerous efforts as Bolton looked to build on their strong start.

Bolton dominated possession with Sam Dalby coming close on multiple occasions, including a header that rattled Wickens' upright. Matchwinner House miskicked during a promising opportunity but later capitalized on Elder's long throw to head home the decisive goal.

Despite late pressure from substitute Ryan Hardie and others, Lincoln held firm. Wickens made crucial saves in stoppage time, securing Lincoln's first ever victory at the Toughsheet Community Stadium and their first away win in 42 years.
