Lincoln City secured a convincing 4-1 Championship victory over Burnley at Sincil Bank, with Mikkel Ladefoged scoring a second-half brace. The win led to the sacking of Burnley manager Nicky Hayen. After Andreas Hountndji gave Burnley an early lead, Ben House equalized in first-half stoppage time.
Ladefoged and Dom Jefferies then scored within eight minutes of the second half to put Lincoln in control. Ladefoged added his second late on, while Marcus Edwards missed a penalty for Burnley. The result moves Lincoln seven points clear of the relegation zone, while Burnley remain in the bottom three with just one win all season.
