Leicester City open their first League One campaign since 2008/09 with a trip to Notts County on August 15, live on Sky Sports. All three opening matches at 12.30pm – Notts County v Leicester, Oxford v MK Dons and Reading v Luton – will be shown across the network, marking a high‑profile debut for the former Premier League champions.

Promoted Notts County earned their place by crushing Salford in the League Two play‑off final, while Oxford host MK Dons and Reading welcome Luton at the same kickoff. The 3pm slate features 11 more games, including Bromley’s inaugural third‑tier fixture at Barnsley and Sheffield Wednesday’s return to action away at Leyton Orient. Every club will appear live more than 20 times, contributing to over 1,000 games broadcast across the EFL season.

Sky Sports confirms that the full schedule will roll out in stages, with live‑match selections announced by early July for September fixtures and continuing monthly through March 2027. Fans can stream the action via the Sky Sports app or a no‑contract NOW TV offer, ensuring the entire League One calendar remains accessible throughout the campaign.
