Lady Hope pulled off a stunning 33-1 upset victory in the Goffs Hundred Grand Bumper at Newbury, trained locally by Hughie Morrison. The 4-year-old filly, sent off at long odds in a competitive race featuring previous winners, overcame traffic problems to defeat Nicky Henderson's Madam Speaker by three-quarters of a length. Morrison, whose horse had a recent bruised foot scare, praised her quality and engine, noting she won with her ears pricked despite being green.

She earned around £85,000, leading Morrison to question running her again soon, stating she deserves more lessons jumping before being turned out. The win marks a significant success for Morrison and highlights the filly's potential, especially given her impressive physical specimen and pedigree, bought by Paul Webber.
