Kinsky's crucial save rescues Tottenham's survival bid

Antonin Kinsky's remarkable 98th-minute fingertip save to deny Joao Gomes at Molineux could prove pivotal in Tottenham's survival bid. The Czech goalkeeper's full-stretch intervention preserved a precious three points - Tottenham's first Premier League win of 2026 - keeping them within two points of safety with four games remaining.

With relegation rivals Nottingham Forest and West Ham also winning, Spurs gained no ground but desperately needed confidence. Kinsky admitted: "If we wouldn't bring three points from there, of course, it would be much more difficult now." New head coach Roberto De Zerbi has quickly lifted the squad, with Kinsky noting: "He believes in us and that is a big message."

The save carries extra weight given Kinsky's brutal Champions League debut. At Atletico Madrid in March, he was hooked after just 17 minutes following two errors that led to three goals conceded - a nightmare start for a surprise selection ahead of regular No1 Guglielmo Vicario. Now stronger for the experience, Kinsky has delivered when called upon. "It's not like before I would feel weak, now I feel stronger because I made that experience," he explained.
