Miles Leaburn had cancelled out Idah's opening goal before the substitute's second effort, deflected off MacAulay Gillesphey, restored Swansea's lead. Leo Walta added a stunning free-kick in the 88th minute - his first goal for the club - to complete the scoring. Charlton finished 19th despite the defeat, but that represents their highest finish for 11 years after promotion from League One last season.

The game lacked intensity with nothing at stake for either side. Zan Vipotnik, whose 23 league goals made him the Championship's leading scorer, may have played his last game for Swansea with several European clubs monitoring his situation.
