Harvey Barron scored a first senior hat-trick as Hull FC ended a seven-game losing run with a 32-18 comeback win at St Helens. Barron's treble boosted Hull's hopes of avoiding the Super League wooden spoon while casting further doubt on Saints making the end-of-season play-offs. Hull had not previously won at the Brew Dog Stadium in 10 games and nine years.

In a battle of interim coaches, Hull's Andy Last got the better of St Helens' Eamon O'Carroll. Hull trailed 14-10 approaching half-time but Barron struck almost on the hooter, and Hull scored 16 points in 11 minutes through tries from Barron and substitute Cade Cust, stunning Saints.

Despite a first away victory on Saints' territory since August 2017, Hull stay 13th, level on points with Bradford Bulls. St Helens remain seventh, with all teams above them yet to play. Harvey Barron's treble was the highlight for Hull, with Zak Hardaker contributing conversions and a penalty. For St Helens, Jack Welsby and Lewis Murphy scored tries.
