Charley Hull has climbed to world No 3 in the Rolex Women's World Golf Rankings, her highest-ever position and the best by any Englishwoman in the rankings' 20-year history. The 25-year-old enters the HSBC Women's World Championship in Singapore this week having won the Ladies European Tour's season-opening PIF Saudi Ladies International, where she shot six under par in her final eight holes after a toilet break for mashed potatoes.

Hull's rise follows her Kroger Queen City Championship victory on the LPGA Tour in September, adding to her five Ladies European Tour titles. Since early June, she has finished no worse than tied-21st, including a runner-up finish at the AIG Women's Open last summer and three additional worldwide top-fives during the second half of 2025.

With nine of the world's top 10 players competing in Singapore, Hull is targeting her first major championship in 2026. "I've obviously had quite a lot of second-place finishes in majors," she said. "I'll get there." The Englishwoman credits her recent success to staying relaxed and enjoying the game, despite the mounting pressure to convert her consistent form into a breakthrough major victory.
