West Ham goalkeeper Mads Hermansen has opened up about the emotional toll of Premier League relegation after his experience with Leicester City last season. The Denmark international, who joined the Hammers for £19 million last summer, endured a difficult start at the London Stadium before fighting his way back into the starting lineup.

Hermansen was dropped after conceding 11 goals in just four Premier League games, spending months on the bench before his February recall. Since returning, he has made more saves than any other Premier League goalkeeper and kept four clean sheets in eight matches. The 25-year-old credits his resilience during this challenging period for his recent form.

With West Ham moving out of the relegation zone following their 4-0 victory over Wolves, Hermansen believes the team's unity will be crucial for survival. "Our togetherness, our relationships between us" he says, describing the squad's strength. The goalkeeper remains cautious about their position, acknowledging that rivals Tottenham, Nottingham Forest and Leeds United are also fighting to avoid the drop as the season reaches its climax.
