England No 1 goalkeeper Hannah Hampton has signed a new two-year contract with Chelsea, extending her stay at Stamford Bridge until 2028. The 25-year-old had become a free agent after her previous deal expired at the end of June.

Hampton joined Chelsea from Aston Villa in 2023 and has since won five trophies. She was also instrumental in England's retention of their European Championship crown last summer and received the Yashin Trophy in 2025, recognizing her as one of the world's top goalkeepers.

"Chelsea have always been my dream club to play for in England so to be able to extend for another two years is a proud moment," Hampton stated. She aims to help Chelsea regain past success. Last season, she recorded seven clean sheets, tied for the most in the Women's Super League, as Chelsea finished third.
