Alex Fitzpatrick claimed his first DP World Tour title at the Hero Indian Open with a two-shot victory over Eugenio Chacarra, marking a historic week for the Fitzpatrick family. The 27-year-old Englishman's triumph came exactly one week after his older brother Matt won the PGA Tour's Valspar Championship, making them the first brothers to win on back-to-back weeks across both tours.

Alex began the final round four shots behind defending champion Chacarra but faced an early setback with back-to-back bogeys at holes three and four. The dramatic turnaround began when Fitzpatrick fired eight birdies in 12 holes from the sixth, while Chacarra struggled with six bogeys including three consecutive dropped shots from the 15th. Alex's three-under 69 secured victory at nine under par, despite a double bogey on the final hole.

The victory in Alex's 87th DP World Tour start came after years of persistence on the demanding circuit. The Madrid-born Chacarra settled for outright second on seven under, with Andy Sullivan, Ugo Coussaud and M. J. Daffue sharing third place on five under par.
