Ferrari has moved Lewis Hamilton's race engineer Riccardo Adami to a new position within the Scuderia Ferrari Driver Academy. The change comes after Hamilton's disappointing debut season with the team, where he failed to secure a single grand prix podium for the first time in his career. Ferrari confirmed the move in a statement on Friday.

Hamilton's 2025 campaign was marked by struggles with an underperforming car and visible frustration over team radio communications with Adami. The driver change is the first major personnel shift for Hamilton's camp ahead of the 2026 season, which will see the introduction of major new technical regulations for both engines and chassis.

Ferrari stated Adami's extensive trackside experience will now contribute to developing future talent. A new race engineer for Hamilton's car will be announced later. The team is preparing to reveal its 2026 livery this month before pre-season testing begins in Barcelona, where all teams will adapt to the new rules.
