Jarod Ennis dominated Xander Zayas to claim a seventh-round knockout victory and unify the WBA and WBO junior middleweight titles at Brooklyn's Center in New York. The 36-0 champion dropped Zayas three times throughout the fight, showcasing his power with 32 career knockouts to his name.

Zayas entered the bout unbeaten at 23-0 but struggled from the opening round when Ennis floored him with a left hand. Though Zayas rallied in rounds three and four with effective right hands, Ennis regained control in the fifth round. A barrage of left hooks in the seventh forced the referee to stop the fight at 1:49, handing Zayas his first professional defeat.

On the undercard, Ben Whittaker made his US debut with a second-round knockout of Richard Rivera, improving to 12-0-1 with nine knockouts. Whittaker controlled the entire fight with sharp jabs and secured victory just 27 seconds into round two after dropping Rivera twice.

Promoter Eddie Hearn believes Whittaker is three fights away from a light heavyweight world title opportunity. The undefeated prospect could face domestic rivals Joshua Buatsi or Willy Hutchinson later this year as stepping stones toward championship contention.
