England have renewed the central contracts of Ollie Pope and Shoaib Bashir for one year, even though both have dropped out of the Test XI. Zak Crawley's expiring deal has not been extended, leaving him without a central contract.

A total of 39 players are now under contract. Among eight previously uncontracted players rewarded with full deals are seamer Henry Crocombe, Test opener Emilio Gay, and seamer Ollie Robinson. They join batters Jordan Cox, Dan Lawrence and Tom Banton, plus pacemen Sam Cook and Matthew Fisher. Robinson had deals in 2022 and 2023, while the rest receive contracts for the first time.

Cox and Crocombe have signed two-year agreements running until September 30, 2028. Crocombe, who could debut in this month's ODI tri-series in Pakistan, is the first England player to sign a multi-year deal before making an international appearance. The Surrey-bound seamer took back-to-back hat-tricks for Sussex this season and finished with 40 wickets at an average of 23.52.

Eleven players are contracted until autumn 2028, including Test captain Joe Root and white-ball skipper Harry Brook. Hampshire quick Sonny Baker was upgraded to a two-year deal after a strong summer. Brydon Carse remains under contract until September 2027, and Ben Stokes and Mark Wood's deals ended following their international retirements. Nine players received development deals, including 18-year-old Thomas Rew, the youngest player on the list.
