This weekend, all EFL matches will begin one minute later than scheduled. This initiative, running from February 5th to 9th, is part of the 'Every Minute Matters' campaign. The delay aims to promote the importance of learning life-saving CPR. The goal is to raise awareness and encourage fans to learn CPR techniques during Heart Month.

Sky Bet, a sponsor of the EFL, will donate £1,000 to the British Heart Foundation (BHF) for every goal scored in the EFL throughout February. This could potentially result in a substantial £350,000 donation. The campaign has already helped over 450,000 people learn CPR. The campaign is aiming to reach half a million people.

Tom Lockyer, an ambassador for the campaign, emphasized the importance of community involvement. He encouraged fans to learn CPR using the BHF's free online tool, RevivR. The delayed kick-off times serve as a reminder that immediate action can save lives. The campaign is backed by all EFL clubs.

The initiative aims to build an army of lifesavers, highlighting the critical role CPR plays in cardiac arrest situations. The BHF's RevivR tool provides a quick, 15-minute learning experience. Fans are encouraged to show their support by using the heart-hands gesture on social media.
